A hopeful lyric, abstractly about taking accountability for your life and 'burning down' your obstacles. Understanding that if you're unhappy you can do something about it. I think too often we take for granted that we have absolute control to change our circumstances... if we can battle our demons and work through the fear of change. Sometimes admitting that we deserve to be happy is the biggest struggle.
lyrics
your life, it isn't carved in stone, despite what you believe / the days are more than palindromes / so hang on 'cause it could all burn down
your choice is only yours to make / so why'd you choose the same things as yesterday / the blame, it's only yours to take / set a blaze and watch it all burn down
Chorus:
strike a match (let it burn)
even if it all burns down (let it burn)
light it up and then you let it go
but not a moment to soon
before the indifference finally kills you
and then it all burns down
you're afraid but what's worse than this? / you're running in circles until you hate yourself / the door is your-free-will away / so get up and burn the whole thing down
Chorus
